Join us for an afternoon of fun for kids and families at Dominion Chalmers Centre, located on 355 Cooper St in Ottawa, from 1:30pm-4:00pm on November 16th 2019.

The event is organized by students in Carleton’s 4th year Community Engaged Sociology class https://spark.adobe.com/page/6NLwi9izLShp4/as a fund-raiser for the Criminalization and Punishment Project www.cp-ep.org, a group based at Carleton and the University of Ottawa that supports people in conflict with the law, and the families and loved ones of those people. All donations collected from our event will be given to the JAIL hotline. The JAIL hotline is a free help inquire, run by volunteers and helps inmates connect with their lawyers, family and various other needs that the jail cannot provide.
We will be hosting activities and games the whole family will love!!!
Activities are free or by pay-what-you-can donation.

Some of the activities will include:
Pie in the face
Cookie and ginger bread decoration
Drawing table
Bouncy house
Face painting
Bean bag toss
Games
Hot dogs, snacks, and drinks

Children’s book author Susan Atkinson (Where Do Witches Go?) will be appearing and leading poetry games for kids.
