Call for Support for Mothers Coming Together Against Carceral Violence

Hello CPEP members and allies,

My name is Claudette Clayton-Korchinski, founder of the Regis 4Ever Foundation and co-organizer of Mothers Coming Together. I’m reaching out with a heartfelt request for your support as we continue our fight for justice, healing, and systemic change in our communities.

The Regis 4Ever Foundation was created in memory of my daughter, Regis Korchinski-Paquet, whose tragic death at the hands of Toronto police in 2020 sparked a movement for accountability and justice. Since then, our mission has been to support families impacted by systemic violence, advocate for meaningful change, and empower our communities through education, healing, and unity.

Mothers Coming Together is a collective space co-organized by the Regis 4Ever Foundation, Justice for Anthony Aust Collective, Justice for Jamal, Justice for Tyrell Beals, Incarcerated Voters Ontario, and the Ottawa Transformative Justice Collective. Together, we provide grieving mothers and families a space to find strength in one another, speak their truth, and demand justice too often denied.

We are currently seeking:

  • Donations to fund legal advocacy and mental health supports for families.
  • Venues and co-hosting partners for community healing events and educational workshops.
  • Travel and accommodation support for family members participating in national advocacy events. This month, we’re attending a roundtable in Victoria (Tracking [In]Justice) and a panel in Nova Scotia.

Any support—whether financial, logistical, or collaborative—helps us move forward in this urgent work. Contributions can be made via GoFundMe: https://www.gofundme.com/f/mothers-coming-together

Thank you for standing with us.

With love and determination,

Claudette Clayton-Korchinski (she/her)
