OCDC Community Advisory Board reports now available online

Read the annual reports on conditions at the Ottawa-Carleton Detention Centre from 2014 to 2019 from the former OCDC Community Advisory Board (which was disbanded by the Doug Ford Progressive Conservative government in June 2021). Although the Board was supposed to be a community accountability mechanism, the Ontario government only ever made the 2014 through 2016 reports public and the others were kept secret until their disclosure through a Freedom of Information request by the Criminalization and Punishment Education Project.
