The uOttawa Prison Law Clinic and the Jail Accountability & Information Line have launched the “Habeas Corpus Guide”. Funded by The Law Foundation of Ontario, as well as the University of Ottawa’s Faculty of Law – Common Law Section and Faculty of Social Sciences, this legal information resource provides people who are imprisoned in Ontario provincial jails and federal penitentiaries with information about what a habeas corpus application is and when it applies, how to make an application, when not to make an application, and other legal remedies and strategies that can be used to address conditions of confinement. While financially supported by The Law Foundation of Ontario and the University of Ottawa, the authors are solely responsible for all content. Click Here to download the guide.
