Prisoners’ Justice Day 2020 Events and Information

This year Prisoners’ Justice Day will be accompanied by a new campaign called 10 Days of Abolition, which was created by the newly formed Abolition Coalition which spans many cities in Turtle Island. Our annual vigil will be held on August 10th at 7:30pm (details below), and we will be having events on the days leading up to it. More information will be posted as soon as it is received. The shirts are $25.00 and you can reserve your size for pick up at the Prisoners’ Justice Day Vigil on August 10th by selecting the “$0.00 Pick up at PJD Vigil” option under “Shipping” at checkout. Otherwise shipping is $15.00.
The shirt features the acronym PJD (Prisoners’ Justice Day), images of cell bars, Skulls, a pocket watch, a pack of playing cards with the ace of spades showing, a bird in flight, The name “Slick” in the bottom left-hand corner, and the number 13 1/2 meaning: “12 jurors, one judge from the trial plus 1/2 a chance”.

CFRC Prison Radio, in so-called “Kingston Ontario”, will be broadcasting from 4:00pm to 10:00pm. They will have interviews, commentary and a memorial segment until 7pm; followed by music requests and messages by and for prisoners and their loved ones and supporters from 7:30-10:00pm.
